Arizona State pulled off a huge victory over Utah to signal, perhaps, the beginning of its comeback to prominence in D1A.
At the center of that effort was Kyson Jester. The outside center scored three tries to lead the Sun Devils.
“It’s a step in the right direction,” head coach Pieter Hugo said. “We have been working hard. For Kyson, we moved him from fullback to outside center this fall to give him more touches. Saturday was only his third game at center.”
The junior, who was the ASU starting fullback last season, responded admirably.
“He is a great team player and hardly misses practices,” said Hugo. “He is a strong runner with the ball and spots gaps easily – lots of determination and a great defender.”
